Optimal Audio Talk 8 and ZonePad 8

Optimal Audio is making the Zone series of processors every more powerful and flexible. Coming soon is Talk 8, a zone paging mic with message storage, plus ZonePad 8, an 8” touchscreen for intuitive user control.

The Talk 8 features 8 zone buttons, 4 programmable groups of zones, 6 message replay buttons, backlit talk button plus select-all and clear buttons. It can be configured with a pre-announce chime and messages can be manual or scheduled in WebApp for automated replay. Supplied with a dynamic gooseneck microphone. 48V also available for other microphones. Single CAT5 connection (locking RJ45 connector) up to 500m from Zone processor. USB-C port for loading audio files into memory with 4GB of internal message storage. Use on a desktop or VESA mount. Up to two Talk 8’s per Zone processor.

The ZonePad 8 is an 8” touchscreen wall controller for Zone processors. 8″ tempered glass colour touchscreen with multi-touch functionality, ZonePad 8 enables easy selection and volume control of playback sources and microphones across eight zones from one central position. Power is delivered to the ZonePad 8 via PoE from a compatible router or switch. Connect a Zone controller to the same network/switch to enable communication between the ZonePad 8 and Zone Controller via ethernet. For venues where running cable is difficult, it can be powered locally and connect over Wi-Fi (with third party wireless access point). Up to 16 x ZonePad 8’s can operate simultaneously on a single Zone controller. ZonePad 8 is supplied with a surface mount wall plate for simple and secure mounting.
